We are off to state playoffs again. We were there last week and heading off again. It’s been a crazy few weeks, and I’m so thrilled my son’s senior year is ending on such a high note. He had an amazing game-changing win a few days ago, and I hope that memory stays with him for his life.
This week was also decision on college. My son threw me for a loop with the school he chose to go to. The financial part was very similar so that wasn’t an issue. Both of the schools are out of state (unfortunately, we need to fly) so that wasn’t an issue.
But one of the schools my husband was encouraging in a quiet way. My son has always acquiesced to things and decisions his father said; always agreed with him. I think it was to keep the peace. In our house, if dad’s happy, everyone’s happy.
I was biting my tongue because I think the school he chose is okay, but not a good fit for him. We paid the deposit because it was May 1st, and now it’s off to the races to figure out dorms, roommates, a food plan, etc. I am putting on my happy face to my son but I don’t think it’s the right choice of schools.
Supplementing My Income?
I sold something on Poshmark yesterday so that was encouraging. It was just one thing so not enough to even make what I make in my websites but it was a low-priced item to begin with. I agreed to the lowball offer just to get rid of it. Can selling supplement the little I’m making from my websites? If I can earn even $50 – $100 week doing it, that’s something.
The issue I’m having is that when I spend time listing and liking and sharing on Poshmark, that’s taking time from me working on my websites for the long-game.
Still not sure what to do. For now, I need to get ready to go to the state tournament. Packing up my clothing sale, making food for other son for later, going to post office, and running an errand. Then we embark on our 2 and a half hour drive to hopefully bring home a win (and no fighting with husband in the process.).
